Ubisoft has officially announced its new VP and creative director, Marc-Andre Baur, and he is the first in a long line of Ubisoft execs to join the company’s creative director.
He joins the Ubisoft team in January.
Marc-Andre is the former VP of the Ubisoft Massive game studio.
In 2018, he left the studio after Ubisoft released the first game in its new franchise:Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
In 2019, he returned to Ubisoft Massive to become the head of the studio’s digital content.
He is now a Ubisoft VP of creative direction, and a Ubisoft vice president of production.
Marc-Dimitri is a Ubisoft Senior Vice President of Content and a former Ubisoft VP and chief of content for Assassin’s Creed, as well as a director on Assassin’s Fury and Assassin’s Fall.
He previously held senior creative roles at Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Berlin, Ubisoft France, and Ubisoft Montreal Studios.
Marc has been with Ubisoft for nearly five years and was formerly responsible for the content development of Assassin’s creed.
He joined Ubisoft in August of 2018, after a three-year stint at Electronic Arts, where he was executive vice president for content and partnerships.
He oversaw the creation of new and existing games across both Assassin’s franchise and its online platforms.
Marc has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and an M.
S in Computer Animation from the Institute of Fine Arts, Paris.
He has also worked at Ubisoft since 2008, as an artist and as a concept artist, before taking on the role of VP of content in 2018.
