Posted December 16, 2018 07:19:30Amazon has announced a $29 discount for the first time ever for its new digital subscription service Redbox, as well as a new price point.
Redbox Prime is available to users who have Amazon Prime and who live in Australia, New Zealand, the US, and other regions.
The service offers movies, TV shows, and books for a flat $29 a month for a one-year subscription.
It’s similar to Netflix and other subscription services in that you pay for the content as you watch it, rather than buying it separately.
The offer comes after Amazon introduced a number of major features at launch, including Amazon Instant Video, an added video library, and a subscription to Prime Music.
Amazon is also offering a new app called Redbox Premium, which offers access to its Redbox Prime service and some exclusive perks.
Redlock Premium includes unlimited Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming and watching.
It also includes a “Netflix for Kids” app, a digital cinema ticket, a $99 credit for Prime memberships, and an in-store “Play Your Games” kiosk.
